E.O.T.C AOTEA LAGOON MONDAY

    E.O.T.C AOTEA LAGOON MONDAY

On Monday we went to aotea lagoon we started of by walking and crossing the road a lot because of the new countdown the was getting build. Some of the pathways were closed that’s why, when we got to the other side of the road we couldn’t just stop we had to keep going because there were a lot of other kids that had to cross the road.

Then it was the sun trying to torture us but a really nice weather for the park. Finally we were there we sat somewhere that was nice and then the teachers told us what to do and then we had some morning tea. Me and my friends which are WANITA , RONITA and TANIKA had shared lunch. We had Shapes, Two chips, String and one orange.

After we finished our morning tea we got to play me and my friends played busted it was fun we went on the slide and the swings we were also a bit tired then we sat down somewhere by the shade. We played a game with RHIANNON that  they taught me and then we played 21 and the countrie game and then we changed the subjects.

Then the teacher blowed the whistle so we had to go back and have our lunch. We had shared lunch again but this time with rhiannon she was going to have shared morning tea but we couldn’t find her. For this shared lunch we had chocolate teddy’s, wheels, sandwich, strawberries, fruit cup, and muesli bar.

After we finished we played more and when it was time to go we were ready for the big hill, I was also teaching Wanita some of my language urdu and she was learning really good. When we had to walk up it was really tiring. But we still made it when we were at school we were really happy and tired what a day.

THE STORY BEHIND FIREWORKS
                   EARLY MAORI

On wednesday we learnt about the early maori technology  with whaea toni
We learnt about what the early Maori use to use. When they needed to go toilet hey had go somewhere away from there food and there home and dig up a hole and then then do their thing. They had Technology like whare, Clothes, Fire, Waka, Weapons, Food, They also gathered some fish and harvested.

What we were focusing on was about technology
-It  meets a need  / problem
- Invention by design
- Practical resources / materials
- Innovation and adaption
 Great ideas      changes

We also learnt about a moa did you know a moa can be 4 metres tall that’s as tall as the tallest point in my classroom. Moas lived just like dinosaurs but they didn’t have enough babies so they got instinct. Whaea toni also made a wahakura for her grandson in france, to make wahakura you need 60 pieces of harakeke and when you cut it of you need to show respect.

Thank you for reading my work
